Kevin Pomfret
Founder
Kevin Pomfret founded Pathway 2 in 2023. He is also founder and director of the Centre for Spatial Law & Policy and the Geospatial Law Academy. He works with governments, international organizations, and technology companies to address the policy, governance, and institutional challenges associated with geospatial, space, and AI-enabled technologies.
His work spans government relations, partnership development, and the design of practical governance frameworks, as well as the delivery of workshops and training programs around the world to help organizations operationalize data governance, digital sovereignty, AI integration, and responsible technology use. His expertise draws on deep experience with Earth observation, satellite systems, PNT, and space-enabled data infrastructures and their impact on public administration, markets, security, and international cooperation.
Laura Delgado López
Space and Geospatial Governance Expert
Laura Delgado López is an independent space and geospatial governance expert with Pathway 2, LLC, Ms. Delgado López draws from over 15 years working in space policy in the Washington, D.C. area. Her career has spanned industry, the nonprofit sector, and government, having most recently served as Policy Advisor in the Science Mission Directorate at NASA HQ. Her research on space policy and international cooperation, with a particular focus on Latin America, has appeared in trade and peer-reviewed publications, as well as in media outlets in English and Spanish.
Currently, she is a lecturer with ETH Zürich, and a senior fellow with the Florida International University’s Jack D. Gordon Institute for Public Policy. She holds a master's degree in international science and technology policy with a focus on space policy from George Washington University and a bachelor's degree in political science from the University of Puerto Rico.
KJ Pomfret
Executive Assistant
KJ Pomfret is the Executive Assistant for Pathway 2, supporting day-to-day operations, program coordination, and communications. His responsibilities include managing social media and digital communications, conducting background research, and supporting the preparation of proposals, reports, and other written materials. He helps ensure that projects, events, and internal processes run smoothly and on schedule. He attended University of South Carolina and has a strong interest in global affairs. Outside of work, he enjoys following international soccer and traveling.
